On Friday, October 31, Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture hosted a guest lecture by Prof. Utku Alemdaroglu from Pamukkale University (Turkey) for the students and academic staff of the university.
The event was made possible through the support of the Rector, Prof. Yaroslav Svyshch, and organized with the assistance of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations, Prof. Marian Pityn, and the Acting Head of the International Relations Department, Pavlo Kucher. Their continued commitment to promoting academic mobility and international partnership opens new opportunities for scientific cooperation and professional development.
During the lecture, Prof. Utku Alemdaroglu presented his academic background and outlined the main directions of his research activities, focusing on Load Management, Strength & Conditioning, and Training Science. He also shared the results of his recent studies, which center on three key areas: Sport Performance, Recovery & Adaptation, and Training Load & Monitoring.
Drawing on his practical experience as an Athletic Performance Coach at FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Prof. Alemdaroglu demonstrated how scientific approaches can be effectively applied in professional sport to enhance athlete performance and optimize recovery processes.
Following the presentation, students and academic staff actively engaged in discussion, asking numerous questions about Prof. Alemdaroglu’s scientific research, methodologies, and experience in professional football. The lively exchange fostered meaningful academic dialogue and knowledge sharing.
