On 1 October 2026, an online guest lecture by Heitor Valente was held for Master’s degree students of the Management specialty, including students of the Management of Physical Culture and Sport educational programme at Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture.
During the lecture, students explored contemporary approaches to sport industry management, the global sports ecosystem and career opportunities in the sports sector.
Particular attention was paid to the structure of the modern sports industry, the interaction between public, non-profit and commercial sectors, and the role of sports organisations, federations, clubs, media, sponsors and other stakeholders.
The participants also discussed Ukraine’s position within the global sports ecosystem, current challenges and opportunities for the development of the Ukrainian sports sector, as well as the potential application of Industry 5.0 principles in the reconstruction and transformation of Ukrainian sport.
An important part of the lecture focused on innovation, digital technologies, sustainability, inclusion and human-centred approaches in contemporary sport management. Students also had an opportunity to consider different career pathways within the sports industry and the importance of combining broad knowledge with deep professional expertise.
