Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture has taken another significant step in strengthening its international cooperation by signing a Cooperation Agreement with the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu, Republic of Poland).
The official signing ceremony took place in the Senate Hall of the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz. The agreement marks an important milestone in strengthening the University’s international academic partnerships and opens new opportunities for educational, scientific, and professional cooperation between higher education institutions in Ukraine and Poland.
The agreement provides for a wide range of collaborative activities, including:
- conducting joint research projects;
- academic exchange of faculty members, researchers, doctoral candidates, and students;
- organizing international scientific conferences, symposia, methodological seminars, and round-table discussions;
- exchanging scientific, educational, methodological, and teaching publications;
- implementing joint educational, research, and international projects;
- organizing cultural, educational, and sporting events;
- developing other forms of cooperation of mutual interest to both institutions.
Representing Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture at the signing ceremony were Professor Oksana Huzii, Head of the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation, and Associate Professor Petro Pokotylo of the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation. The Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz was represented by Professor Józef Ciuła, DSc, Rector of the University, and Dr Monika Bigosińska, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture Sciences and Security.
This new partnership will promote international academic mobility, expand professional development opportunities for academic staff and students, facilitate joint research initiatives, and encourage participation in international grant programmes. It will also serve as a platform for exchanging best practices in the fields of physical culture, sport, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and health sciences.
Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture continues to expand its network of international partnerships, strengthening its integration into the European Higher Education and Research Area while creating new opportunities for the development of its academic community.
