LERMOV Project News: «Learning through Movement! Innovative and Interdisciplinary Teaching Methods in Preschool and Primary Education»

On 15 December, a regular online meeting of the Project Management sector of the international partner project «Learning through Movement! Innovative and Interdisciplinary Teaching Methods in Preschool and Primary Education» was held.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the universities implementing the project. Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture was represented by Doctors of Science in Physical Education and Sport Nataliia Sorokolit and Andrii Mandiuk.

The agenda of the meeting included summarising the project implementation in 2025 and planning educational activities for 2026. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of Work Package No. 4 «International Workshops», which are planned for students and physical education teachers from the partner countries.

Tentative dates and venues of the international workshops:

  • Academy of Physical Education (AWF) in Wrocław: 27–28 March 2026;
  • Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań: 19–20 March 2026;
  • University of Warsaw: 27–28 April 2026;
  • Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw: 29–30 April 2026;
  • Aristotle University of Thessaloniki: 19–20 May 2026;
  • University of Rome Foro Italico: 2–3 June 2026.

During each international visit, the academic staff of our University will introduce students of partner universities and physical education teachers to the features of the combined methodology «Movement – Coordination – Learning», which integrates physical activity, the development of coordination abilities and key competences, as well as educational tasks, and is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the educational process in preschool and primary education.

The planned activities are focused on the exchange of international experience, the implementation of innovative and interdisciplinary teaching methods through movement, and the strengthening of cooperation between higher education institutions and educational communities across Europe.

Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture continues to actively participate in the implementation of international educational initiatives aimed at modernising physical education in preschool and primary education.
