The final stage of the international mobility took place at the Wrocław University of Health and Sport Sciences named after the Polish Olympic athletes and at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The events brought together students, academic staff from higher education institutions, and physical education teachers.
Last week, academic and teaching staff of the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture – Doctors of Science in Physical Education and Sport Nataliia Sorokolit, Andrii Mandiuk, and Viktoriia Pasichnyk – carried out a working visit to the Republic of Poland, where they delivered the concluding international workshops within the Erasmus+ LERMOV project «Learning Through Movement! Innovative and Interdisciplinary Methods in Preschool and Primary Education.»
The main aim of the workshops was to introduce participants to the key aspects of the innovative combined methodology «Movement – Coordination – Learning,» which integrates physical activity with the development of cognitive functions, coordination abilities, and learning skills. Ukrainian researchers presented modern approaches to organizing physical education, demonstrated practical exercises, and shared innovative methods that can be effectively implemented both in school education and in the training of future physical education teachers.
Particular interest among participants was drawn to practical tasks aimed at developing interhemispheric interaction, attention, memory, spatial orientation, and executive functions through movement-based activities. During the sessions, Polish students and educators not only became familiar with the methodology but also had the opportunity to experience its effectiveness in practice.
The combination of physical and cognitive activity opens new opportunities for the development of children and youth. The contributions of Ukrainian researchers attracted significant interest among European colleagues and contributed to the dissemination of modern educational practices. Workshop participants highly appreciated the practical orientation of the sessions, the relevance of the presented methodologies, and the opportunity for professional exchange of experience.
The implementation of these events marked an important milestone in the three-year international cooperation of the LERMOV project partners and the final stage of the series of workshops conducted by the Ukrainian team at higher education institutions across Europe. Throughout the project, representatives of the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture actively promoted innovative approaches to physical education, demonstrating the strong academic and professional potential of the Ukrainian academic community.
Participation in the LERMOV project once again confirmed the significant role of the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture in developing international academic cooperation, promoting modern educational technologies, and strengthening European partnerships in the field of physical education and sport.
